Agroforestry is a symbiotic land use management system in which trees or shrubs are grown around or among crops or pastureland. This approach can be done simultaneously or following periodical farming practices and has tremendous ecological and productive benefits.
At present we are recovering a traditional olive grove abandoned for many years, so in the future we can produce organic olive oil under an agroforestry management system. Nature has already given us a hand: in addition to the olive trees, there is a mix of other native tree species and the soil is rich in organic matter accumulated over years of no farming interventions. In addition, in the future we will also invest in the production and sales of a variety of wild mushrooms and other horticultural products.
